Super Duplex Steel Washers are usually made up of chromium (24–26%), molybdenum (3–4%), nickel (6–8%), and nitrogen (0.2–0.3%), having a combined microstructure of austenite and ferrite. The two-phase structure provides extremely high tensile and yield strength, in addition to high stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion resistance, particularly in environments with a high concentration of chlorides. They have good performance in sub-zero and high-temperature environments, retaining their dimensional stability, toughness, and corrosion resistance.
